Flying Lantern Candle Holders

Flying Lantern Candle Holders by Dave Delisle

This is not a geeky design, but it was inspired by the films Kubo and the Two Strings and, uh, Tangled. I’m speaking of the ceremonial lanterns that float on water or fly into the sky en masse.

These are glass holders for tealight candles, which sit directly on a surface or are elevated by wine stems of varying height. The candles are then concealed by a cover made of frosted glass, a much much safer option than paper, obviously.

Sorry for the underwhelming pic, but imagine a few dozen of these candles together, sitting at varying heights, all appearing to float in the air. The frosted glass covers could be made in all shapes and colors, and could be adorned with symbols and whatnot.
