Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, And Zelda Hockey Jerseys Now Available For A Limited Time

The Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, and Zelda jerseys are now available for purchase. As you can see the price is $80 USD each, which is a slight price increase from the last promotion. The main reason: all jerseys feature embroidery, which was a free upgrade last time (for the Stark and Lannister jerseys). Rinkgear has met me in the middle, providing embroidery at a discount (usually costs $15 more per jersey).

Every jersey design has twill numbers. Only the Zelda jersey features individual twill letters for the name. The other two jerseys have sublimated names, because of their stylized fonts. The Doctor Who last name will be sublimated directly to the jersey, the Galactica name will be sublimated onto a twill name plate, and then affixed to the jersey. To read the detail breakdown for each jersey, see the above image.

All jerseys feature custom name and numbers. The Battlestar Galactica jersey allows you to include a rank, full name, and call-sign — just like the decal by the Viper cockpit. If you just want a normal name like a regular hockey jersey, you can specify that. More details on names and number ordering below.

Shipping rates are: North America is $15, $5 for each additional jersey. International is $40, $10 for each additional jersey. All amounts are in U.S. dollars. You can buy with Paypal or your Credit Card.

Order deadline is January 19th 2012, so plenty of time. Get your holiday shopping done first! The 2-month window is to help minimize the number of people missing out on these geeky jerseys.

For ordering information, please read on.

1. Choose your jersey(s). Zelda or Doctor Who or Battlestar Galactica? Tough call, even for the discriminating geek.

2. Select your size. Here is the sizing chart, which is in metric to inflame Americans:

Hockey Jersey Measurement Chart

Many people have asked for measuring help the last few runs. I recommend you use a hockey jersey or sweater or hoodie that fits you and lay it flat for measuring. Doesn’t hurt to go a little oversize, as hockey jerseys look better baggy than form-fitting. The Chest width (B) is the most important.

3. Pick your name and numbers. For the Zelda jersey there is a 10-character limit. For the Tardis and BSG jerseys, the names are sublimated (printed), so you can go above 10 characters, but your name may look compressed so keep that in mind. A long name like STROMBOLOPOLOUS will be squashed.

When ordering, please enter name in CAPS, and indicate any lowercase, apostrophe, or hyphen if needed. Example: McDONALD, O’BRIEN, ROY-KILEAN (Irish people have all the cool names). For the number it is one or two digits as you’d like them to appear. If you want 07 instead of 7, make sure you put that ‘0’ in.

Note: For the Battlestar Galactica jersey, you can specify a rank, full name, and call-sign (see the above design image), see how to order below. If you don’t want the rank and full name, just enter a name as you would for the other two jersey types.

4. Time to pay! Tally up the cost of the jersey(s) and shipping. You’ll need to convert the exchange rate to U.S. dollars prior to paying Paypal or Credit Card.

Paypal method: Login to Paypal, and send your payment to [email protected], and select ‘Goods’ for the type of transaction.

In the subject line enter: TARDIS or BATTLESTAR or ZELDA (or any combination), and they will know what you are talking about, you geek you. In the message body enter your order and a short summary (WARNING: requires math). Should look like this:

Jersey 1 (Battlestar style): Name: (small): CAPT. KARA THRACE (large): STARBUCK Number: 12 Size: XL

Jersey 2 (Zelda style): Name: LINK Number: 64 Size: M

Jersey 3 (Tardis style): Name: THE DOCTOR Number: 11 Size: YM

$240 for 3 jerseys, plus $60 for shipping to Australia = $300 Total

Enter a shipping address as well if it differs from the one listed in your Paypal account. Then send your money. Voila, order is completed.

Credit Card method: Email your order to [email protected] and they’ll respond with an invoice and a link to their secure online checkout. Your order should be written like the above Paypal example (be sure to include your shipping address too).

Confirmation: A few days after the order cutoff I will send an e-mail to confirm your order. Rinkgear is still assembling their merchant page, so there is not much in the way of automation right now. Please be patient. If you don’t hear from either of us by Jan 23rd, please email me or Rinkgear. While the order process isn’t all that convenient, it does keep the overhead low, so we get a better price.

There is no tax on these, but your Government may ding you when the package arrives.

5. DEADLINE:

There is an order cutoff for all three jerseys: Thursday, January 19th 2012 at 4PM EST. Production begins on the 20th. Please allow 4 - 7 weeks for delivery.

All orders are shipped air freight express. Orders of multiple jerseys will be shipped together.

***THESE JERSEYS WILL NOT BE OFFERED AGAIN*** If I make another Zelda or Doctor Who or BSG jersey, they will look much different than what you see above. Please Tweet or share on Facebook to alert your friends. I am not looking forward to February, when people who missed-out plead for one. Please help keep your fellow geeks in the loop. I am not making a single dime off of these, I just don’t want any diehard fans to miss the boat.

In closing: These are team orders. These jerseys cannot be made-to-order. I am not profiting from these, merely creating the design and ordering a few for myself. A custom team order is usually sent to one place (to the team), but this order is being split-up and sent to individuals. We need a minimum of 10 sold for each jersey style, but I’ve yet to post a jersey design that has failed to make that quota.

  1. I’m dork enough to look for a kingdom hearts jersey. Not too kiddish because I’m a grown man that would wear this in public. Just throwing it out there. Love the other stuff you’ve done.

    • I vaguely recall the first KH game for PS2. I remember the large key being iconic to the game, but other than that I wouldn’t know what to put on the jersey design-wise.

However the appeal of doing something Disney would be fun. There is potential, and it bears looking at, so maybe one day!

  2. These are gorgeous. I wonder about the Galactica colors though. Why red and white?

(Totally coveting the BSG, can’t decide if I’d want me or Starbuck though…)

    • The design is based on the actual Viper spacecraft. It has the tail number (on the tail), the call-sign, and the squadron logo (the Primus 1st). This is based on the Mark II version, which is white and has red stripes.
