Have you seen how tiny PCs can get these days? They sure are impressive. What if additional features could be packed in, like a built-in keyboard and mouse? Thought I’d draw up such a concept, which looks like a retro computer from the 80’s.

Windows XP NUC PC Design
NUCs are a popular line of mini PC’s (not to be confused with Nucks, which is the nickname of a terrible hockey team), and I thought I’d make one look like the shutdown prompt from Windows XP, of all things.
Truth is, I thought about including some of these design cues in the previous post, even a Start button from the taskbar would be thrown in. Decided to nix the idea, because I was already trying to convey so much information. In the end, I think it works great as this PC case design.
If you Google NUCs you will notice a sea of grey boxes. I think there’s room for a more colorful and lively design like the one above, if you ask me.
Game Boy Adapter Mini PC Case
I didn’t realize how popular mini PC’s have gotten lately. Entire desktops with a Windows OS stuffed into a small case for a few hundred bucks, a bargain I would’ve jumped at a few times in the past.
Most cases are similar in shape and design to a Roku or Apple TV player, but seeing as they usually have ports on all 4 sides I was reminded of the Game Boy 4-player adapter, so I threw this concept together.
I’ve never used this Game Boy adapter before, but I was always fond of its design. I don’t think Nintendo has ever designed an ugly console or peripheral before. Well, maybe the original DS.
