Dresser With Laundry Baskets Built In
I have just found these already exist. However I think they could look a lot more stylish and be more space efficient. I think clear plastic Rubbermaid-style tubs will do the trick.
This sort of design is right up IKEA’s alley - they are known for space-saving design and clever storage.
If these do become a reality, I recommend getting two - one for the clean clothes, one to serve as a hamper for the dirty clothes.
And yes, laziness does fuel invention.

Love it! I want one for my boyfriend 40 bucks max lol. looks like you should be in furniature desiging for ikea for sure. it does seem a little narrow though for holding enough clothes. Try a two draw or with darks written on one box and whites written on the other, then maybe a third for towles. But make the unit longer, sorta squaity.
That’s just the perspective playing tricks on ya!
But more than likely taller baskets would be employed to compensate for the regular (and wider) size. The dresser can’t be too big.
I’m sure if this is ever made, they’ll throw a team of smarty-pants engineers at it.
