Insert Coin Game Console

Arcade1Up recently released a series of mini plug-and-play consoles, and they appear to be solid emulation devices (granted their controllers could be better). I felt the console itself could be a bit more fun so I redesigned it to look like an Insert Coin slot from an arcade machine.

I just turned their console on its side and moved the power button, everything is still aligned to a single PCB board. The only major addition is an internal LED light.

Bomberman Controller

Remember those Jakks Pacific plug-and-play consoles? Same deal here with the Bomberman character. Thought it would be fun if there was a button on top of the joystick, ideal for placing bombs . The side ear button serves as the secondary button used by the thumb, and is on both sides for righties and lefties.

It would be neat to have 4 or 5 of these controllers, in different colors to match each player. Such a set would be a fun game for parties. Bomberman used to be THE party game before Smash Bros. came along and stole its thunder.

Colecovision HD Design

About 3 years ago ATGames released the Colecovision Flashback, a throwback console that looked decent and featured a solid collection of games, but unfortunately had poor sound and controls. They’ve yet to release a second version, but with HDMI conversions being all the rage these days, I’m sure a Flashback 2 is inevitable. That said I thought I’d take a stab at designing one.
