Porch Pirates are evil people who steal unattended packages from your front door. I believe I have devised a way to thwart them. Basically this system turns the front door into a mailbox of sorts. See it in action after the jump.

That’s not a typo in the title, because this isn’t an anti-theft device. It works in addition to a regular bike lock, the idea is to make life miserable for thieves should they steal this bike.

I always thought it would be cool to have a fake hand scanner hanging on the wall by a door. It would give your place a real Bond villain vibe. It could feature some built-in functionality like a light switch or thermostat, but more or less it would just be for show.
