Here is a dock design that can wirelessly charge your smartphone or tablet, and lets you play your favorite racing game as well. This is based on the TOMY Turnin’ Turbo Dashboard toy from the 80’s, and is inspired by this neat mod I saw on Youtube. There was a time when gaming peripherals similar to this were made for smart devices, I doubt such a thing will ever happen again.
It’s a phone you use at home that clones your smartphone like a remote drone. This is an overly elaborate solution for when you need to charge your phone at home, but don’t want to be tethered to the power outlet when you still want to use the phone. Do read on, I’ll explain.

Here’s a pair of smartphone dock designs that pay homage to a time when we plugged cartridges into other cartridges to play games. Back in the early 90’s such adapter cartridges like Sonic & Knuckles, Super Game Boy, and Game Genies were pretty cool, you kids will have to take my word for it.
