On Deck: Star Wars Blu-Ray DVD Case
Star Wars is very late to the Blu-Ray party. The holy trilogy has done this before, opting to wait until 2004 to be released on DVD - when the format was already 9 years old.
But when it does arrive (not if), I hope it’s packed in a collectible like the Millenium Falcon case I will be unveiling soon.
Heck, no one has even thought to run with this for the original DVD release! Which is surprising, given the shape of the Falcon. It’s designed to store discs, as well as smuggle cargo.
Originally I thought of other Star Wars icons to store discs in. The Death Star - too plain. R2D2 would make for too big a collectible. The Sandcrawler is too ugly.
The Star Trek Enterprise would also make for an excellent DVD Case, so I’ll get to that eventually.
I’ll be unveiling the completed art in the next few days, so stay tuned!
