Jurassic Park Blu-Ray Case Updated
Seeing as I updated my jewel case, I thought I’d revisit my Jurassic Park Blu-Ray design, which is by far the most popular one I have. In all honesty - I really cranked that one out quickly. I usually do enough art to get the idea across, but I always thought it could look much better.
This time I really wanted the eye to stand out
All the jewel case get a different flavor of Velociraptor, and just to add some color to the set, each jewel case back panel is a solid yellow, green, or red - which compliments their respective film nicely.
I would preferably like the Raptor cage to look more metallic and shiny (so it could be a Tin case), but that is the way it looks in the movie - blue and dull. I added some rivets to the cage, and made it smaller to fit 3 jewel cases in a more compact fashion. The grating was also reduced to highlight the Raptor stare, and simplify the overall look. The original Raptor cage I made was spot-on to the movie.
A chorus line of evil
This will probably be the last time I redo this case. There are a few other themes they can run with for this, such as the tour jeeps from the first film storing all the discs (something I might explore one day), and of course the big King Kong gate (which they already used for a DVD trilogy release). Time will tell.
