Switchblade Mobile Phone Concept
With the impending promise of LCD screens that are as flexible as fabric, I thought one of their possible applications would be a mobile device that can collapse the screen.
This is made possible by the screen rolling up within one of the sides of the frame.
You’d have a phone that would look similar to today’s smart phone layouts, but when it collapses it would be as big as a Magic Marker. The buttons would always be accessible, and a smaller secondary screen would be present for when the phone is in ‘pen’ mode.
The pen shape would be much more compact to grasp and store. Heck, I could probably include a functioning pen at the base!
