Jurassic Park goggles wrist watch design 2011 dave delisle davesgeekyideas dave's geeky ideas

Here is a fun wristwatch design based on the night vision goggles from Jurassic Park. At first glance it looks like something just for the kids, but it has a sporty look many adults would appreciate in my opinion.

  1. unf. I’m nostalgia-ing so hard!
Some suggestions I think would make it better:
have the bezel rotate in order to change functions
save the green lights for “flashlight/night visibility” mode
    a water-resistant Army webbing strap
Bluetooth capability (I want to have a wrist com!)
remove the knob - why does a digital watch need a knob? shouldn’t it just have a couple buttons?

    1. I just added that knob to show off the circular bump impressions that encircle the lenses - just a styling preference.

Yeah I’d like the LED lights dial to revolve as well, almost did a GIF animation to showcase that, but I think the basic design gets the point across.

All the functions and interface stuff would be at the whim of the manufacturer I guess (if it makes it that far), but this being sporty in look, lots of fitness bells and whistles would be expected.
