Diggstown Poster

Diggstown Vs. Poster by Dave's Geeky Ideas

You can buy a high-res poster here.

As you know I do replicas of posters seen in film and television, and my newest entry is a tribute to one of my all-time favorite films, Diggstown (1992). It’s a clean and simple design, the only change I made was to the beer sponsor; it says Millen but if you squint it looks like Miller.

If you haven’t seen Diggstown, it’s a fun popcorn film worth checking out. Yeah it has the production value of a TV-movie, and a few cheesy scenes, but the good far outweighs the bad.

The Kingsman get a couple of desktop wallpapers, while Valentine gets a wallpaper for all the mobile devices. Both designs are accurate to the film.

Charles Mulligan’s Steak House Poster

I haven’t done a new poster in a long time, so I thought I’d tackle the Steak House print seen in Ron Swanson’s office. I’m not the first to make this poster, but I wanted to create a larger and more show-accurate version.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Cassette Player Papercraft

Guardians Of The Galaxy Cassette Papercraft

Here is fun and simple papercraft project for GOTG fans: the cassette player from the film. This isn’t the walkman Peter Quill carries, rather the deck that is embedded into the wall of his ship, and is featured as the soundtrack cover.

I designed this to be life-size and to hang anywhere like a clock. Here it is by my desk:

Initially this was more ambitious — the player had extruded buttons and a more detailed cassette, but I decided to keep it simple so kids can take a crack at this (you just need scissors and tape). It does feature a removable cassette if that’s any consolation.

After the jump you’ll find the templates and directions.

Breaking Bad Money Bed Sheets

Breaking Bad Money Bed Sheets design by Dave Delisle dave's geeky ideas davesgeekyideas

Here is a design for your bed sheets that will make them look like stacks of money, specifically the large pile of cash that Huell and Kuby famously laid on top of in Breaking Bad.

The sheets are printed in a way that the front and sides of the money bundles are projected onto the sides of the mattress. It should look good, if the images are aligned properly.

This wallpaper features Little Mac and Doc Louis training in Hoboken, New Jersey, getting ready for the big fight against that no-good Soda Popinsky.

It’s a combination of 3D (foreground), photo-editing* (background), and of course pixel art. You can find 16:9 and 4:3 sizes after the jump.
