Microsoft is a relatively unknown company, and they need lots of help raising brand awareness. So I designed this promotional item to help get the word out! This is one of those ‘floating pens’ which contain a sliding image that moves up and down the pen. See it in action after the jump.

Q*Bert Desk Organizer

I recently came to the realization that my desk organizer is very boringsauce (pictured on the right here), so I started to brainstorm a fun alternative and came up with this Q*Bert design.

The block levels found in the old arcade game would be perfect for storage. I went with a 3-tier design for the mock-up above, so ideally a real organizer would also be available in 4 and 5 tier flavors for those who need a lot of storage.

As for Q*bert himself, he could be a flash drive, pencil sharpener (too weird?), stress toy, stapler, or whatever. As long as he’s included in some form, obviously. Even a figurine would be acceptable.

Homer Simpson Desk

An office desk that looks like Homer Simpson’s control panel which looks like a partially-eaten donut. Not quite an Inception level of deep, but close enough for me. With this desk, you’d be able to “work” like Homer, which is essentially leaning back and putting your feet up to relax on the job.

Star Trek Desk

Star Trek Tom Spina

Recently I had the privilege of collaborating with Tom Spina Designs, makers of the famous Han Solo in Carbonite desk. The gig was for another desk, this time a commission for a client who wanted something special for their office: a desk based on the bridge from the most recent Star Trek films.
