This Futurama-themed electric scooter reminds me of Pee-Wee Herman’s bicycle, a testament to all that is colorful, retro, and zany. It screams fun to me, but I can see this being hideous to many other people.

Vancouver has one of the best mass transit systems in the world, but I do not miss the crowded trains that happen during peak times. I propose special ‘Overflow’ train cars that sit at the front and back of a train, increasing passenger capacity. This creates a longer train that extends beyond the length of existing platforms.

The latest city to get a SMB3-themed transit map is Ottawa, where they are currently building the new Confederation Line that is due to open in 2018. I’m surprised by how small the O-Train system is, given the age and size of the city.
Looks like Edmonton is the last Canadian city I need to do. Remember that scene where Pee-wee Herman rescued a bunch of snakes from the burning pet shop? That’s what it’s like for me to do do anything related to Edmonton, that no-good city of chumps.
Please forgive the bare-bones look of this design (more on that later), I just wanted to express an idea for a living/mechanical book display, one that operates without using electrical power. There’s a fair bit going on here so I didn’t want to clutter it up. See it in action after the jump.

Another bunk bed design, this one based on interim Autobot leader Ultra Magnus. His car carrier/transport alt-mode is ideal for a bunk bed configuration, with the truck cab being used for storage.
If you want to take this idea even further, you could park a few car beds on it (both given an Autobot makeover of course), but that would require an even bigger Ultra Magnus.
Side note: here is a cool Optimus Prime bunk bed that was made for a couple of lucky rugrats.

My desk is often covered with cables (especially when I am recharging my portable devices), so I thought it would be fun to help conceal the mess by using a USB Hub that looks like a toy firetruck. See, all the wires/cables would look like hoses when plugged into the side of the firetruck.
For increased functionality I would also include a headphone jack, card readers, and an LED lamp built into the extendable ladder. Lights and sounds would also be a fun touch.
