Nintendo Switch Lamp

Nintendo Switch cradle by Dave Delisle

At first glance this is your typical LED desk lamp, with adjustable arm and pivoting light, nothing special. You park it by the couch or bed, and it blends into the scenery. But upon closer inspection this lamp becomes a handy device for for Switch gamers.

In reality it’s a cradle/mount for the Switch console. The handheld can be attached to either side of the light casing using its Joy-Con connectors. You can also charge the Switch by plugging it into a USB port on the ‘neck’ of the lamp. Charging is indicated by a small red light.

The lamp affords an elevated and adjustable display, allowing you to just hold a controller while sitting in bed or on the couch. And if you want to lie down, the screen could be placed directly overhead. The future is now, couch potatoes.

One feature not shown is an audio jack at the base of the lamp, to plug in headphones for discreet gaming. There are also ‘release’ buttons behind the light case to detach the screen.
