Star Wars Bunk Bed
Jabba the Hutt’s throne room struck me as an ideal bed design, because the gangster and all his henchmen/guards also sleep in that room, so why not make a bunk bed out of it?
For this bunk bed a more conventional design was employed, because I want something that is straightforward to build, or would allow people to modify existing beds. Previous bed designs I have posted here are too cost-prohibitive to make.
The top bed is Jabba’s throne room, the bottom bed is the Rancor pit. For child safety reasons there is no trap door! Jabba’s level features a perch for the giant slug and a Han Solo in Carbonite tucked to the side. The Rancor pit features rocky wallpaper, cage siding, and LED lighting activated by a familiar switch.
Both beds have some flat counter space at the back of the frame, where toys can be parked. Whether it’s plush or regular Star Wars toys, this bed is essentially a giant playset.
Geek Bling Part 10: Jabba The Hutt Necklace
UPDATE: Etsy’s Rude and Reckless made one, please check it out here. Original post as follows:
Happy May The Fourth!
This is technically a choke chain (oh I slay me) that features a Jabba The Hutt pendant. There are a few Jabba necklaces out there — much to my surprise — but all lacking the dark humor seen in the design above.
Such a necklace is destined to be worn by geeky girls you do not trifle with. Or worn by those who are a slave to fashion (okay okay I’ll stop).
