Some Cool Stuff To Check Out

May 8, 2011

I was recently pointed me to this website where you can have 3D prints made. It’s called Shapeways, and you can upload your 3D model for printing, or buy other people’s work from the store. You can also create or upload a 2D image which can be printed out in 3D as well, so you don’t need to worry about being a CAD guru. And yes I am currently plotting something to print.

Very happy to report that my friend’s Indiegogo project I mentioned a few weeks back is at the 75% mark, and only halfway through the 90-day fundraising window. It looks like it’s a go! I will be helping out the film with some 3D art, so a large portion of the funds raised will go towards my exorbitant salary. :D

Been reading this adult webcomic called Gingerbread Girl, which is unlike anything I’ve ever read before. The narrative - delivered by a wild assortment of narrators - lays out an intriguing central mystery that revolves around the title character. Gingerbread Girl is nearing it’s conclusion, I highly recommend you check it out at Top Shelf comics. Click the image to jump to Part 1.

I am quite impressed with this homemade Muppet Theater, which is an amazing work of art. You can see many more images here. Waka waka waka!

And finally, if you are a hockey jersey aficionado like myself, you’ll love this website which makes custom hockey jerseys to your specifications. Perhaps you could enlist one of my designs? I am thinking about getting this one made.
