Geeky Lunch Box Part 2: Mr. Dressup
If you’re Canadian who is 22 and older, you probably want one of these. As you know I am straight-up gangster, and even I would want one.
All you would need is a red “construction worker” lunch box, then decorate it (via paint or stickers) with a bunch of pretty flowers.
Doctor Claw Ring
Last week I posted a design for this Dr. Claw-inspired ring. I am pleased to announce you can now grab this at Shapeways for purchase (commission-free). Click here or the image to head to the listing. Available in US sizes 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11. Available in numerous materials as well.
Now you can give the gift that says I will get you next time, Gadget! NEXT TIME!
Special thanks to Michael Mueller, who prepared the model for Shapeways. He’s quite versed in 3D jewelry, his designs are excellent. Please check out his selection of rings and pendants here.
This marks my first foray into 3D goods. So on top of the posters, shirts, and hockey jerseys I currently peddle, I’m starting to feel like a department store.
Geek Bling Part 8: Dr. Claw Ring
UPDATE: You can now grab one here.
Argh. Nobody makes this. Not even those Etsy folks! This should be like, the top-selling ring in the whole world (for people 28 and older).
The main reason I am disappointed by this discovery: my henchmen have been really goofing around lately. I feel that if I wielded this ring, I can slam my fist down repeatedly and they’d pay attention and shake in their boots. I’m sure you can relate.
In all seriousness I am surprised this doesn’t exist. Even if Dr. Claw didn’t wear this ring, the ‘MAD’ brand is quite recognizable. Note to self: design a MAD hockey jersey. EDIT: I did.
Drive Meets Hot Wheels Mashup T-Shirt
I do offer shirts here at davesgeekyideas. It’s not something I like to broadcast for two reasons: I like the “hidden gem” approach with these shirts, and also they are incredibly expensive. $27 for a custom T-Shirt?! Sorry for that. I wish they used Gildan instead of American Apparel. Ah well.
Available in Men’s and Women’s tees (2 choices of blue), and you can click the image above or here to go to the listing.
If you can’t see the appeal of this shirt, you were born after 1994. Damn kids — get off my lawn!
Official Voltron 8-Bit T-Shirt Design
Update: this T-shirt is now available.
I made this NES-inspired 8-bit Voltron T-shirt design for the good folks at WEP. I’ll update this post when a listing at the Voltron.com store materializes. I hope the Voltron fans out there dig it.
Also check out that hockey jersey I designed for them sometime.
UPDATE: Bonus NES Cartridge mockup!
Geek Bling Part 7: Spider-Man
This edition of Geek Bling features the friendly neighborhood webhead, who is no stranger to necklaces/chains, but for some reason no one has made the chain itself the web, at least in this obvious a fashion.
The design and pose is based on the 60’s cartoon, which has now been reduced to fodder for internet memes. I have a soft spot for the poorly-animated series, because I feel it was the first ever motion comic (and likely intended as such), not a traditionally animated cartoon.
Nearly had a few of my past Geek Bling designs made, which I would have made available here like I did my hockey jerseys. But alas, can’t seem to find a willing jewelry maker. Hopefully one day I can arrange something for interested people.
