Harry Potter Toothbrush
It’s oral hygiene day! First the Spider-Man floss dispenser, now a toothbrush based on a Quidditch Broom from Harry Potter. Truth be told the two were going to share a post, but at the last minute I split them. Read the rest of this entry
Spider-Man Floss Dispenser
Recently I stumbled across these fun floss dispensers for kids, and they reminded me of something I once thought of: a floss dispenser based on Spider-Man. The webhead would now combat the evils of gingivitis with his floss webbing! I’m sure kids would dig this, and I have a feeling that a few adults would like one too.
A Dr. Octopus toothbrush holder would compliment Spidey perfectly, now that I think of it.
Steam Clock
Well the image pretty much speaks for itself, I reckon. I suppose you could fix it up to actually run on steam, but that’s way too over-the-top. There is one slight dig at Valve Software, so I hope they don’t suspend my Steam account (I need my Peggle fix to function).
Star Trek Desk
Recently I had the privilege of collaborating with Tom Spina Designs, makers of the famous Han Solo in Carbonite desk. The gig was for another desk, this time a commission for a client who wanted something special for their office: a desk based on the bridge from the most recent Star Trek films.
Netflix Blu-Ray/DVD Shelf
Thought this would be a fun way to organize and display your Blu-Rays: a shelf that looks like the Netflix Instant homepage. Now you can organize your films by genres, while displaying your favorite films front and center. Read the rest of this entry
Calgary Stetson Arena Concept
This concept for the Calgary Flames is an arena shaped like a stetson hat, thanks to a pair of flanking ramps that usher fans into the upper concourse.
Mario Kart Torsion Pendulum Clock
3 o’clock? More like Luigi o’clock, amiright? I say this because the hands on the clock look like an ‘L’…okay that joke was funnier in my head.
Anyways, whenever I see one of those fancy torsion pendulum clocks, specifically ones with the the orb-shaped weights, I am reminded of the Koopa shells spinning around a racer in Mario Kart.
With the shell weights being suspended by a clear plastic (or glass) pillars, it would almost look like they are being self-propelled (I used a clear blue material so you can see them here).
I went with a tire and rim for the main clock, but other Mario Kart imagery could be used instead. One note: the shells wouldn’t spin around in one direction continuously, they’d reverse direction every 15 - 20 seconds - I couldn’t express that in the GIF.
Here’s hoping such a clock could be made. It would be the sort of family heirloom geeks would covet.
