Atlanta’s MARTA Map - Super Mario 3 Style
You can purchase a high-res poster of this map here.
Atlanta’s MARTA now gets the SMB3 treatment, making it 3 cities in as many weeks, and my 8th city overall. Normally I like to take a break between cities but I got a lot of requests for ATL, and MARTA looked really simple so I decided to tackle it straight away.
Going to attempt some other cities in other styles pretty soon. Stay tuned for those!
A Collection Of Jurassic Park Ideas
1. Jurassic Park 3D Glasses. I was so sure this would be a thing I vowed to watch the Twilight films if it didn’t happen. A man of my word, I will… oh, they’re not on Netflix? Oh man what a bummer. But seriously I’d want a pair of these, 3D or no.
2. Jurassic Park Blu-Ray Case. This design put my blog on the map, so feel free to assign blame here. If I ever got rich I would 3D-print this sucker.
3. Jurassic Park Fence Bed. Featuring a doomed plush goat (like so many of my other posts)! I’m pretty sure there was an IKEA bed with a similar frame, but I can’t seem to find it anymore.
4. Jurassic Park Watch. I made this for my Watch This series, and I still love this design 2 years later. You’ll note as we go back in time, the pictures as smaller. For some reason I was cool with a blog width of 445 pixels back in the day.
5. Wallpapers. You can find a ‘Fences’ screen here, and a rather juvenile Yoshi-themed one here.
What I’d Like To See For The Oculus Rift Headset
The highly-anticipated Oculus Rift VR headset will be released this spring, allowing gamers to enjoy virtual reality - something that seemed around the corner in the early 90’s! With many developers pledging support for games old and new, and its attractive price point of $300, you’d be hard-pressed to find any fault with this device. Read the rest of this entry
Portland’s MAX LRT Map - Super Mario 3 Style
You can purchase a high-res poster of this map here.
(UPDATE July 2015): I’ve updated the map to reflect the final state of the Orange Line which opened recently. A few fixes were made for the Orange Line: the route extends into the downtown core, and a stop was removed.
If you’re wondering why there are power switches, it’s because the Orange Line changes into the Yellow Line and vice versa.
Gatorade Shower Head
Now you can shower just like a champion! Except on a more daily basis. And with regular water, not Gatorade. (EDIT: You also could embed an LED in there to make the water change colors. Thanks to Ryan M. for the idea!).
On a lighter note this blog is now 3 years old! Thanks for stopping by and putting up with my weird ideas, much like the one you see above.
Pacific Rim Blu-Ray Case
Pacific Rim is my most anticipated movie of the year. It will hit theaters in July, with the Blu-Ray release sometime in October or November. That said it’s not too early to offer up what I would like to see for a Blu-Ray case: a design based on the giant transport crawler seen in the trailer. Read the rest of this entry
Wolverines T-Shirt Now Available
My third T-shirt design for 80’s Tees is now available! It is for the Calumet Wolverines from the film Red Dawn (the 1984 original). Previously I made the design for a hockey jersey on my other site.
It is based on the Letterman jackets the guys wore in the film. And yes, I am holding out hope 80’s Tees makes some Letterman jackets. As far as I can tell, these kind of jackets aren’t really prevalent here in Canada, but for Red Dawn heck yeah I’d love a replica.
My previous designs for 80’s Tees were for Voltron and Direwolves T-shirts.
